Past, present and future

This shared rural tourism house is named after the village of Meranges used to have.

Vilamaroto (vilademaroto) is the name given to the village of Meranges in documents of the year 1040, such as the bull of Pope Sergi IV, confirming the aforementioned allodium of four country houses in Meranges, in the Monastery of Ripoll according to Dr. Font Rius.

These country houses were located between the current enclaves of Meranges and Girul, next to the stream of Envalls below the current Meranges-Girul road.
